Perimeter For a City

Today we built a city including a fire station, ice cream parlor, police station, and a library made out of Legos. We worked on perimeter and area. We either had to find out the total perimeter or area of the object. We would build a building in any design. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed it.

Here are some people making a store, police station, ice cream shop, fire station, and a library made of Legos. Our teacher only gave us the perimeter or the area of the figures.

Open House

We had Open House last Thursday. I wasn't there for it, but I did hear about it. They dressed up as their people for their biographies and gave their speeches to other people walking around. They had props and a presentation for the other people to look at. They had a lot of fun and enjoyed showing of their hard work.

Getting ready for Wax Museum

Where getting ready for wax museum that is tomorrow. I bet everybody is going to have so much fun. We are going to say our speech at open house. So much fun.

Biography

We are learning about different people that made a difference in the world.  We each chose a person to learn and write about.  We researched the people and wrote a biography paper about them.  We made a cover for the paper that will be outside our classrooms.  We made a presentation in Keynote and created a speech.  We will give our speech during open house.
