Thinking maps with Social Studies

Model Citizens Thinking Maps

We researched qualities that good citizens must have.  We then picked some examples of good citizens and researched their lives.  We created thinking maps that showed why each person was a model citizen.

Taking Notes

We are taking notes using our ipads in math and language arts. Here are some examples of our notes.  We create an anchor chart and take a picture with our iPads.  We created photo albums to keep our pictures in. This is a great way to see what we are learning each week.

Using a compass

Today we helped our reading buddies go on a treasure hunt!  We used iPads to find the treasure using a compass.  We had to read directions on the iPad and follow a map. It was so much fun!

Trip to Elm Fork

We had a great field trip to UNT. We looked for invertebrates in the aquatic session. We saw a planetarium show in the Sky theatre.  We dug for artifacts.  We went on a scavenger hunt.
It was a super trip!
